Compare raglan and set-in sleeve layouts with a throwing motion check, shoulder measurements and an approved sample for baseball jerseys.
Find the seam before comparing fit
A raglan seam runs toward the neckline, while a set-in sleeve joins the body around the armhole. Mark the seam path on the sample and identify the garment measurement points. Two jerseys labelled the same size can still differ in upper-arm room, sleeve opening and body width. Compare the garment geometry alongside the construction name.
Run the same movement check
Use the intended undershirt for both samples. Ask the wearer to raise the throwing arm, reach across the body and make a slow throwing motion. Watch for a sleeve edge that catches, a shoulder seam that presses and a hem that pulls upward. Record where each issue appears and which size was worn. That gives the supplier a specific problem to review.
Keep fit and artwork approvals linked
If the team logo sits near the shoulder, check it on both seam layouts. A graphic may need to move when the garment pattern changes. Mark the sleeve construction, approved size chart and logo position in the same sample record. Ask the supplier which construction options it can confirm for your project.
Review the product options and send the confirmed specifications for a quote.
