Quick answer: Compare quotations for the same garment specification and delivery scope. Put material, package contents, quantities, personalization, sampling and shipping into a common table. A lower headline price is not a meaningful comparison if the underlying orders differ.
Freeze the brief before comparing suppliers

Prepare one reference brief with the chosen opening style, material requirements, size breakdown and artwork. Send the same version to each supplier. If one supplier suggests an alternative, list it separately instead of silently treating it as equivalent.
For InkSportPro’s baseball range, the material options currently discussed are 180g birdseye, 150g birdseye/pinhole and 150g straight-texture, all 100% polyester. Weight and texture should be stated explicitly. “Polyester jersey” leaves out information that can materially change the comparison.
Build a comparison sheet

| Quotation item | What to reconcile |
|---|---|
| Garment and package contents | Jersey only or an itemized combination |
| Material | Composition, nominal GSM and fabric reference |
| Quantity | Garments by style, size and version |
| Artwork | Common graphics, individual details and revision scope |
| Sample terms | Payment conditions, sample shipping and approval |
| OEM work | Labels, packing and any specified extras |
| Delivery | Dispatch basis, transit and excluded charges |
Mark unanswered items rather than converting them into assumptions. A blank shipping line should not be read as free shipping, and a pictured accessory should not be treated as included.
Make sample conditions visible
InkSportPro says a sample garment can generally be ready the day after design confirmation. Sampling is covered for a confirmed and paid order, or an advance order payment can be credited against the subsequent bulk order. Confirm the applicable payment and sample-shipping arrangements in the written quote.
This is not an unconditional free-sample offer. When comparing suppliers, identify whether samples are paid separately, credited later or included under another condition. Those differences should be understood before money is committed.
Compare the approval standard as well as the price
For full-button baseball jerseys, request a buttoned-front sample review and identify the critical graphic joins. Ask what evidence the supplier will provide and how any unacceptable result will be addressed before bulk production.
Also compare how roster changes are handled. One quote might assume the final names and numbers are supplied immediately, while another may include an agreed review stage. Clarify deadlines for changes rather than expecting unlimited revisions.
Separate dispatch from arrival
InkSportPro’s current guidance for orders up to 500 garments is generally dispatch within seven working days after sample approval, including scheduling. Transit is additional. A buyer comparing that with an arrival estimate needs to reconcile the starting point and destination assumptions.
Ask each supplier to identify the approved specification, production-release event and shipping service on which the schedule depends. Avoid comparing an optimistic production estimate with a door-to-door commitment as though they were the same.
Decide from the resolved offer
Once the scope is aligned, evaluate the price alongside sample quality, communication and the suitability of the specification. Keep the final quotation and approved revisions together so that production follows the offer actually accepted.
Can I get a useful quote without every detail settled? Yes, but label provisional assumptions and ask for an updated price when they change.
Should a low price override a failed sample? Treat the failed approval as an unresolved requirement rather than a discount opportunity.
The ordering guide can help organize the information needed for comparable offers.

Compare jersey-only and white-pants options
For an InkSportPro quote, state whether you need custom baseball jerseys only or optional white pants as well. The pants use a fixed standard pattern. Keep their quantity, sizes and price separate so a jersey-only quote is not mistaken for a complete package.
